Father's Reflection 7.23.23

Hello all!

As you are all well aware, when your priest changes, inevitably there are some practical things that change as well. In my case, I am already finding out it is difficult for me to transition as quickly between sacraments as Fr. Zarse was, so I am adding a little buffer time between Mass and the conclusion of adoration and confessions.

I am trying to retain the same amount of time for adoration and confession because I am a firm believer and proponent of both, so this will just mean a little shifting that won’t impact the start time for any of the Masses during the week.

Please note a bigger change of not having confessions before the 10:30am Sunday Mass at Sacred Heart which will allow me to spend a little more time at St. Augustine after the 8:30am Mass. To compensate, there will be a full hour of confessions on Saturday at Sacred Heart from 2:45 to 3:45. 

In addition, you are always welcome to ask me to go to confession outside of these set times, and if it’s not right before Mass, I will generally be able to accommodate you. If you would like a longer time for confession or to pray through something, email me and we will coordinate a time to meet without needing to rush. 

Here will be the new schedule that will be more official starting in August because I will be away this week for annual time with my family all together…
