Thank you to all who participated in our recent Quo Vadis Gala. For those who were unable to participate this year, do not worry, the event will be back, and should be taken to all of our parishes if you ask me! The feedback that has been pouring in over the head table and the graces that were featured has been tremendous. “Father Zarse, the mission of the school of faith is directly tied to prayer, friendship, and good conversation. But nothing could have prepared me for what I experienced tonight at this gala. It is the closest thing I have seen in a parish to what the early Church was like as described in the Acts of the Apostles (Dr. Troy Hinkle of the School of Faith).” “Fr Zarse, what we experienced tonight was most unexpected. The graces that were featured touched every heart in the room. Lives were transformed tonight. And what we experienced tonight at the gala is precisely what will save the Church (Dr. Tory Baucum of Benedictine College).”
Friends, the mission of Quo Vadis was simple, build an event around a head table with 7 individuals who are courageous enough to share their story. Our witnesses bore witness to what God has done in their life in the last year and my goodness was it powerful. It was really that simple. We worked out from that very simple premise and what we found Saturday night was most unexpected. Do not be fooled, the mission was not fund raising (shoot the auction took less than 25 minutes), while the head table spoke for 60 minutes. The mission was to bear witness to God’s grace, to His Divine Mercy, which not only endures forever, but is also greater than anything we will ever be able to understand. Blessed be God forever.
